This position will be in the Office of the Director at the Lewis and Clark State Office Building, 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City, Missouri.

Responsibilities - What you'll do Oversee the department's website, social media strategy across all platforms, and internal communications training. Assign, plan and assist production team with project design and development. Support and lead team members within the Office of Communications. Research material and prepare speaking points for agency officials. Develop, edit and write external and internal communications. Work within a committee to plan special events, such as Earth Day and Missouri State Fair. Serve as back up for the Communications Director for various necessary daily job duties. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - All you need for success To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience. Ability to operate in a discreet environment and maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of AP style. Equivalent to those typically gained by: Four or more years of office or related communications experience including one year at an advanced level position. (Additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience) Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
