WHO MAY APPLY

All qualified Missouri traditional guard members and those eligible for enlistment, appointment or transfer into the Missouri Air Nional Guard. Duties Help Receives, in-checks, routes, and moves parts, assemblies, components, and on- base turn-ins into and out of industrial shops. Examines items received to verify part numbers, identities, correct quantities, condition, and destinion. Determines approprie handling methods and devices needed to move items. Interprets packing manuals and specificions and determines containers, protective devices, cushioning merials, methods, and techniques needed for packing a variety of tools, parts, equipment, and other items. Constructs containers such as cres, boxes, cases and skids for use in shipment of items, utilizing Special Packaging Instructions (SPIs) when available to determine proper support requirements for items being prepared for shipment. Determines proper identificion, marking, labeling, and inclusion of shipping documents and special handling instructions on all shipments. Assists the Distribution Manager as required in actions such as determining freight shipping requirements consistent with efficiency and transportion priorities. Operes trucks which typically have an approxime gross vehicle weight (GVW) of more than 32,000 pounds and/or truck tractors with semi- trailers or full trailers to transport personnel or pick up and deliver supplies, merials or equipment. Couples and uncouples the truck tractor and semi-trailer or truck and trailer, and connects and disconnects the air brakes and electrical lines. Maneuvers vehicles within close tolerances when driving and backing over uneven ground, in narrow or congested areas, between buildings and other vehicles, between parked aircraft and when positioning vehicles loading docks. Operes electric, LPG, or diesel powered fork lift trucks capable of lifting loads weighing less than 10,000 pounds as high as 168 inches. Drives fork lift trucks over wood, concrete, or similar type floors through narrow aisles in buildings and in such confined spaces as railroad cars or trucks. Drives one or more types of trucks such as pickup, panel, and flbed trucks, which typically have a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds or less, on local and public roads highway speeds. Performs warehouse work to include receiving and inventorying equipment, supplies and merials; loading and unloading of trucks; packing and unpacking merial. Adheres to and Enforces safety, fire, and housekeeping standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Advanced in hire re may be granted to set pay above the minimum re of the grade for a new employee if he/she possesses superior qualificions relevant to the positions' requirements and is essential to accomplish the agency's mission. Creditable Service for Annual Leave accrual may be granted to new employees if he/she possesses superior qualificions essential to the position; and which were acquired through performance in a non-federal or active duty uniformed service position. The duties performed in a non-federal or active duty uniformed service position must directly rele to the position to which appointed and such qualificions are necessary to achieve an important agency mission or performance goal to be eligible. Under a temporary appointment, the employment is subject to terminion any time. This position can be filled up to four years as long as funds are available to support it.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS

Selected candide must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Air Nional Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum Military Grade - TSgt (E-6)

GENERAL EXPERIENCE

: Must possess experience or training which demonstres the ability to follow instructions and safely opere the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position.

WG-08 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: Must possess specialized experience th demonstres your ability to opere one or more motor vehicles including plform trucks, van trucks, fuel trucks, stake trucks, dump trucks, and trash removal trucks which typically have an approxime gross vehicle weight (GVW) of more than 32,000 pounds; opere vehicles and tractors, some of which may be equipped with special-purpose powered equipment; opere plform, van, stake and dump trucks, refueling vehicles, passenger buses or ambulance buses; prepare and verify shipping documents for correct safety and destinion coding, classificions, and hazardous merial handling criteria; and knowledge of warehousing plans and accepted warehousing methods, procedures and techniques.
