Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various manufacturing processes, injection molding, and machining. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring quality standards are met. The Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and fostering a safe work environment. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing floor, ensuring production targets are met. Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance on best practices in machining, fabrication, and assembly. Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Maintain equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC lathes, press brake machines, and forklifts. Coordinate materials handling and ensure proper inventory management within the warehouse. Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment for all employees. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in plastics extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding processes. Familiarity with CNC operations and programming is preferred. Proficient in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments for quality control. Basic math skills for calculations related to production metrics. Experience with materials handling and warehouse operations is advantageous. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
