Full Health and Welfare Benefits) Length of Work Year 11-Month, 185-day Work Calendar Employment Type Full Time Job Summary Job Summary The Multilingual Learner (MLL) and Literacy/Math Intervention Teacher provides specialized instruction, intervention, and program support to students requiring additional assistance in English language development, literacy, and math skills. The position supports equitable access to grade-level content through designated and integrated English Language Development (ELD), targeted reading intervention, and collaboration with classroom teachers within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The position will support classroom teachers in the implementation of high-leverage, evidence-based instructional strategies to support Tier 1 literacy and mathematics practices and the language development of Multilingual Learners. The role focuses on accelerating language acquisition and strengthening literacy and math outcomes, both through direct work with students and by building instructional capacity across the school through peer consultation and collaboration around data-informed decision-making. This position requires knowledge of District procedures and policies, the ability to assume responsibility and work effectively under pressure while maintaining confidentiality, and the demonstration of strong interpersonal skills in order to support MLL instruction, literacy, and math skills across the curriculum. EDUCATION REQUIRED

Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential CLAD, BCLAD, or equivalent English Learner authorization required Reading Specialist authorization or coursework in literacy intervention preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience preferred Experience supporting multilingual learners and/or reading intervention strongly preferred Personal experience with second language learning preferred Familiarity with language(s) other than English preferred
