Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-NICU Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care (RN-NICU). This contract position offers the chance to deliver expert care to newborns requiring advanced medical attention, supporting families through critical moments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Schedule/Hours:
Day/Night rotating shifts or straight nights (19:30 - 08:00) Every other holiday rotation required Six weekend shifts within each six-week scheduling period Assignment options for two-week or six-week rotations
Key Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license with NICU specialization Minimum of one year of recent NICU RN experience preferred Ability to adapt to changing environments and rotating schedule requirements Comfortable wearing navy blue scrubs as required dress code Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care for critically ill neonates, including monitoring vital signs and administering specialized treatments Utilize advanced technology and NICU protocols to deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care Document patient status, care plans, and progress accurately in electronic medical records Support and educate families, providing compassionate updates and involving them in the care process Ensure strict adherence to infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards Collaborate closely with neonatologists, allied health professionals, and unit staff during patient care and transition periods This assignment offers a supportive environment where your NICU expertise will have a meaningful impact.
