POSITION SUMMARY
The Life Support Training Center Faculty
PALS & ACLS
is responsible for the Quality Assurance and Educational Leadership of the Training Center. This position also ensures that the Training Center is approved to teach and able to conduct Quality Instructor Courses. The Life Support Training Center Faculty
PALS & ACLS
may also perform the instruction of American Heart Associate Courses. These courses may include PALS, ACLS, BLS and or Heart Saver Pediatric, Heart Saver CPR/AE, Heart Saver or CPR/AED first Aide. This position may also lead the classes with numerous students of various experience and educational backgrounds. The Life Support Training Center Faculty maintain current knowledge of American Heart Association Standards to effectively meet the training needs of the students. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
High School Graduate or equivalent
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
American Heart Association ACLS and/or PALS Instructor Card required.
EXPERIENCE
1-2 years of instructor experience. Ability to present, lead and manage simulation and direct feedback equipment. Previous instructor faculty level experience preferred.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching approximately the majority of the workday. This position requires frequently lifting, approximately 25 pounds. Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
