Category Imaging - Nuclear Medicine Job Type Contract Work in a dynamic healthcare environment dedicated to delivering top-quality diagnostic imaging services. This contract opportunity is designed for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with proven skills in Imaging - Nuclear Medicine, seeking to play a crucial role in patient care by supporting accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
Required Skills & Experience:
Valid certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT or ARRT-N) Demonstrated experience performing nuclear medicine procedures Proficiency working with imaging equipment and related technology Comprehensive understanding of safety standards and radiopharmaceutical handling Ability to interpret and carry out physician orders with attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient communication Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain before start)
Typical Responsibilities:
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as authorized by a supervising physician Carry out imaging procedures, including PET, SPECT, and gamma camera operations Ensure patient safety and well-being before, during, and after imaging studies Maintain meticulous documentation and quality control records Calibrate and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal function Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver cohesive patient care Uphold infection control protocols and safety guidelines
