  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nursing Supervisor
  • Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Behavioral Health to lead our dedicated nursing team.
In this vital role, you will oversee patient care delivery within a behavioral health setting, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and compliance. Duties Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient care aligned with best practices in behavioral health. Oversee patient assessments, including vital signs, mental status evaluations, and comprehensive physical examinations. Ensure accurate medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Epic, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and manage airway or ventilator support as needed for patients with complex psychiatric or medical conditions. Develop and implement individualized discharge planning and care coordination strategies to optimize patient outcomes. Conduct staff training on infection control, aseptic techniques, and emergency procedures including CPR and basic life support. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate case management, utilization review, and treatment planning for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs. Requirements Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with current state licensure. Proven leadership experience supervising nursing teams within behavioral health or related settings. Critical care experience preferred, including ICU or emergency medicine backgrounds; hospital medicine experience is highly valued. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; proficiency in medical documentation and ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9). Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and mental health assessment techniques. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, dementia care, or senior care environments is advantageous. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care quality. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and support staff.
