Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students as an Occupational Therapist for a maternity leave coverage assignment. This school-based contract position offers a chance to empower individuals and collaborate with a supportive special education team. With a set Monday through Friday schedule of 37.5 hours each week, you'll bring your expertise to four high schools, providing vital OT services during the 26/27 school year.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current and valid Minnesota OT license (required, please submit with application) Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with staff, students, and families Comfortable providing coverage for a maternity leave
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments for students referred for OT services Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, adapting to the needs of high school students Deliver direct and consultative OT interventions to support students' participation in academics and school routines Document progress and maintain timely, accurate records according to district standards Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and families Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations, and classroom strategies This rewarding assignment puts you at the heart of the educational process, helping students reach their full potential.
