A growing research and development organization is seeking an experienced Animal Care Technician to support animal studies and research operations in a regulated environment. This position is responsible for executing approved study protocols, supporting animal husbandry activities, collecting and analyzing research data, and ensuring compliance with safety and animal welfare standards. Located in Elk River, MN 1 year contract

Pay:

$18-23/hour Key Responsibilities Execute approved protocols and standard operating procedures for animal studies Perform feeding, sample collection, animal observations, disease recognition, and accurate data documentation Collect and compile study data including animal weights, feed information, and sample data Assist with process modeling and statistical analysis using collected research data Maintain cleanliness of research areas and perform routine housekeeping duties Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of research and medical equipment Support continuous improvement of study methodologies, procedures, and daily operations Maintain compliance with safety programs, animal welfare standards, and internal policies Handle clerical, technical, and administrative tasks with minimal supervision Escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 4 years of related animal care or research experience Experience in animal research, laboratory, agricultural, or veterinary environments Familiarity with animal welfare standards and regulated research environments "This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
