Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current OT licensure for the state of Massachusetts. Experience in school settings is highly valued. Familiarity with a range of disabilities and individualized education program (IEP) processes. Strong communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse student needs.Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' motor and functional abilities to develop appropriate intervention plans. Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services as outlined in student IEPs. Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student participation in the school setting. Maintain accurate and timely records, including assessments, goals, progress notes, and reports. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions. Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to enhance student access. Educate staff and families on strategies to promote student independence.
