Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students' growth and success while applying your expertise in occupational therapy in a rewarding school-based contract opportunity. In this role, you will partner with a multidisciplinary team to help students reach their full potential in a positive, collaborative environment. Your background in pediatric occupational therapy and experience working within the educational setting will be highly valued. Bring your creativity and compassion to design interventions that truly make a difference for children and their families.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license (current in Louisiana or eligibility for state licensure) Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, teachers, and administrators Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively Experience with sensory integration, fine motor skills development, and adaptive equipment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Write clear, goal-oriented IEP objectives and track student progress Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in classroom and therapy settings Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate interventions Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide input on student programming Provide training and resources to staff and families to enhance student outcomes As part of this contract placement, you'll have the flexibility to contribute your skills in a supportive school environment.
