Ophthalmic Technician

We are a multi-doctor Ophthalmology practice committed to delivering outstanding patient care through clinical excellence and compassionate service. This is an opportunity to be trained in the ophthalmic field while utilizing your skills in documentation, patient interaction, and technical support.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately document patient medical histories, visual acuities, intraocular pressures, and exam findings
• Obtain diagnostic testing such as visual fields, imaging, etc.
• Assist physicians during minor office-based procedures
• Scribe for physicians during patient visits
• Provide a positive and caring experience while interacting with patients
• Perform other clinical duties to ensure efficient patient flow
• Travel to satellite clinics Qualifications and Education Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in a medical setting preferred, but not required
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn specialty software/equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a care team
• Willingness to learn and be trained in ophthalmic procedures/testing
