29 per hour, depending on experience General Position Summary Responsible for directing all Sheriff's Office non-emergency incoming phone calls and contact from citizens at the reception counter and performs clerical duties in the Civil Division of the Sheriff's Office. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education, Certification, & Experience High school or GED certificate Two years' experience in general office work; typing speed of 50 WPM, extensive experience answering multi-line phones desirable. Criminal Justice experience and knowledge of State laws governing civil processes and procedures desirable. Valid Driver's License Ability to be certified as LEDS operator. Ability to obtain Notary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Language Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills

29 per hour. The pay range listed here reflects the FULL pay range for this position for the current fiscal year. Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. Work Schedule The normal work schedule is 40 hours per week; exact schedules are assigned by management. It is the attendance standards of the employer that all employees be present and on time each shift they are scheduled to work.
