Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oral Surgeon to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will perform complex surgical procedures to diagnose and treat a wide range of oral and maxillofacial conditions. Your expertise will directly enhance patient outcomes by providing exceptional surgical care in a welcoming and professional environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, possesses strong technical skills, and thrives in a collaborative setting dedicated to excellence. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop individualized treatment plans. Perform advanced oral surgeries such as dental extractions, including impacted teeth, and surgical removal of cysts or tumors. Manage complex procedures involving dental implants, bone grafting, and other prosthodontic interventions. Utilize medical imaging techniques like X-rays and CT scans to accurately diagnose conditions and plan surgeries. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Document all treatments thoroughly in medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Collaborate with general dentists, specialists, and support staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care using four-handed dentistry techniques. Requirements Valid license to practice dentistry with specialized training or certification in oral surgery. Proven experience in dental office settings or dental clinics with a focus on oral surgery procedures. Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for documentation and scheduling. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to oral surgery. Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other surgical interventions efficiently. Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric dentistry and adult patients alike. Knowledge of medical imaging technology for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Experience with endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
