OSP Construction

Must be dependable and willing to work in all weather conditions. Salary will be determined by experience. Construction employees report to Swayzee before being dispatched to our various service locations.

Requirements:

High school or equivalent. A valid driver's license and a good driving record (ability to obtain CDL). Must be able to pass a background check. Must be physically able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and dig. Must be physically able to climb ladders. Must be physically able to lift, carry and place heavy objects.

Job Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience is not required, but a plus. Aerial and underground experience preferred (Aerial Lineman, equipment operator, etc.) Must be able to follow instructions. Willingness to work both individually and in a team environment. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Knowledgeable of reading and understanding prints, maps, and work orders Prepare paperwork to track daily production, and accurately as-built completed work on job site documents. Knowledgeable in the operation of Telstra Bucket trucks as well as 1 ton bucket trucks. Responsible for the operation, daily maintenance checks, and inspection of all aerial equipment to ensure working order Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and our customers Place strand and dress pole to customer specifications, using assorted small hand and power tools Set anchors where required by customers Operate chain hoist to add tension to cable and guy wires Able to pull fiber optic cables and other cables into conduit and place onto strand Lash cables and splice cases onto strand Ability to climb utility poles, approx. 25' in height (is a plus) Ability to work in an outdoor environment during all times of the year Direct traffic flow in accordance with local D.O.T. guidelines Position requires daily attendance and on time arrival
