OTR Tanker Truck Driver

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tanker Driver with at least 2 years of tanker experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of liquid cargo using tanker trucks. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of freight. As a Tanker Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all regulatory requirements. Duties Operate tanker trucks in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Load and unload liquid cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance. Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road. Utilize manual transmission when required for optimal vehicle performance. Assist with flatbed operations as needed, ensuring all loads are secured properly. Experience Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Experience operating tanker trucks is preferred; familiarity with dump truck operations is a plus. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to transporting liquid cargo. Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading tasks as necessary. Strong understanding of manual transmission driving techniques. Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents.
