Sales Manager Job Summary The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving new business development and expanding existing customer relationships through consultative, solution-based selling. This role owns the full sales lifecycle—from lead generation and qualification through quotation, order coordination, and customer satisfaction—while serving as a key market intelligence and customer advocacy partner to internal leadership. This position will be compensated by a salary/ commission structure. Supervisory Responsibilities None Duties and Responsibilities Proactively identify, develop, and close new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, and targeted outreach. Manage and grow a defined sales territory, maintaining a strong pipeline and accurate sales forecasts. Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, including metrics related to lead qualification, follow-up activity, and revenue growth. Develop, present, and follow up on sales quotations, proposals, and presentations to ensure customer alignment and satisfaction. Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their operational needs, product applications, and industry challenges. Coordinate internally to ensure accurate order processing, timely delivery, and seamless execution of customer requirements. Collect, analyze, and communicate customer feedback and market insights to Sales Management and leadership to support continuous improvement. Monitor and evaluate market trends, competitor offerings, pricing structures, and industry innovations. Prepare and maintain required sales documentation, reports, and CRM records to track performance and inform strategy. Develop and distribute sales, training, and marketing materials to support customer engagement and business development efforts. Represent the company professionally at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events as required. Maintain strong, long-term customer relationships built on trust, responsiveness, and value delivery. Actively seek and apply feedback to continuously improve sales effectiveness and professional performance. Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned.Education and Experience Preferred:
minimum of two (2) years of experience in outside sales, business development, or a related role. Demonstrated success in developing sales channels, managing customer accounts, and delivering measurable results. Required Skills/Abilities Strong understanding of consultative sales principles and customer relationship management. Ability to quickly develop in-depth knowledge of products, applications, and target markets. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Proven ability to build, maintain, and grow customer relationships. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of ISO procedures and Quality Policy standards. Proficiency with Google Workspace (G Suite) or comparable business software. High level of professionalism, accountability, and self-motivation. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting, driving, and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed. Frequent local travel with significant time spent in a vehicle. Valid driver's license required. Personal protective equipment may be required depending on customer site conditions, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
