Job Description

Join Our Team:
Overnight Manager Position Open at Village Super Market, Inc. The Overnight Manager is responsible for maintaining the operational and merchandising standards for Village Supermarkets and executing the plans delivered by the store management team. Creating and maintaining a positive work culture that fosters and encourages teamwork. Additionally you will be responsible for performing the overnight responsibilities of the store, including supervising, directing and managing all phases; such as safety, great customer service, team development, and operations across all departments (i.e., Perishable, Non-Perishable and Customer Service Departments, etc.), in order to maximize sales, profitability ,and labor control while in accordance with our Purpose and Service Priorities under the direction of the General Store Manager. Key Responsibilities of this
Role:
Lead and motivate a team of associates providing great coaching and welcoming feedback to improve performance, engagement,and retention. Complete all assigned tasks via task management system in a timely manner Understand and implement company standards in all departments Utilizes refrigeration software systems to check equipment for proper performance throughout the night Oversee and maintain safe working equipment and report any concerns to the main office in a timely fashion. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance Ensure a safety culture within the store for all customers and associates Ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively, meeting or exceeding sales targets, customer service standards, and profitability goals. Execute and enforce policies and procedures related to Financial, inventory management, merchandising, safety, security, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Experience and Skills Required Monitor stocks levels, manage store inventory levels, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste. Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience, resolve customer complaints, and maintain customer satisfaction. Executes and manages store budgets, ensuring financial goals are met including profitability. Oversee the day-to-day overnight operations of the store, including scheduling, cleaning, and maintenance. Must be able to delegate and provide clear communication to other associates. Check in periodically to monitor progress and offer assistance as needed. Provide opportunities for employees to grow and develop their skills and create a positive work environment. Identify and resolve problems as they arise and make decisions to improve the overall performance of the store and communicate accordingly with Store Management. Must have strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. This includes executing and ensuring that all team members are aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the organization. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet store needs.
