This position will be housed on the Maysville or Rowan campus and is in person. This full-time position offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of paramedics while making a meaningful impact on our community's healthcare future. As a Paramedic Instructor, you'll teach both classroom theory and hands-on clinical skills to aspiring emergency medical professionals. You'll work alongside dedicated colleagues in a supportive environment that values innovation, collaboration, and student success. Our program combines cutting-edge simulation technology with real-world experience to prepare graduates for rewarding careers in emergency medical services.
Job Duties:
  • Deliver lectures and hands-on training aligned with the course curriculum and industry standards.
  • Demonstrate proper techniques for emergency medical procedures, including patient assessment, airway management, and trauma care.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions and interactive learning experiences.
  • Assess student progress through exams, practical evaluations, and assignments.
  • Ensure compliance with CAAHEP/CoAEMSP, state, and national EMS education guidelines.
  • Maintain a positive and professional learning environment that supports student success.
  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support program accreditation efforts and documentation as required by CoAEMSP.
  • Engage in professional development and maintain current knowledge of EMS education standards.
  • Collaborate with faculty, administration, and clinical partners to ensure effective instruction and clinical integration.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with current paramedic certification and instructor credentials recognized by state or national EMS authorities Two (2) years of full-time paramedic field experience
Additional Skills Requested:
This instruction must align with the course curriculum, CAAHEP/CoAEMSP accreditation standards, and the policies of Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). The Lead Instructor demonstrates proper techniques for emergency medical procedures, including patient assessment, airway management, and trauma care. This role includes teaching, curriculum development, student advising, professional development, community engagement, and institutional service in alignment with the college's mission and accreditation standards.
