Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into an engaging education support role working across two close-knit rural districts near Frenchtown, MT. This contract position offers the unique opportunity to collaborate in both Potomac and Swan Valley elementary environments, making a meaningful impact on students and staff. Beginning August 21, 2026, and continuing through mid-June 2027, your schedule will involve three days per week at one district and one day at the other. As a crucial part of the educational team, you'll play a hands-on role supporting teachers, assisting with classroom management, and contributing to student growth in a variety of ways.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Experience as a Paraprofessional or General Education Teacher in a school setting Ability to work effectively in rural education environments Adaptable, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to pitch in where needed Strong communication and collaboration skills Comfortable supporting diverse learners and providing one-on-one or small group instruction Open to both seasoned travelers and candidates seeking their first placement
Key Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers with classroom activities, lesson preparation, and instructional support Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students Provide support during transitions, lunch, and recess as needed Contribute to IEP or 504 Plan implementation under the guidance of teachers and specialists Collaborate with district staff to help meet school-wide goals and initiatives Bring your flexibility and energy to a district where your contributions genuinely matter.
