Job Description
Toddler Montessori Teacher / Lead Frenchtown, MT 59834 Part-time, Full-time Part-time, Full-time Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Montessori Teacher / Assistant, where your passion for nurturing young minds will help foster a love of learning and support holistic development. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to implement Montessori-based curricula that promote independence, literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth. Your energetic and positive approach will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that inspires curiosity and confidence in every child. Whether you're supporting toddlers or preschoolers, this paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Assist in planning and executing engaging lesson plans aligned with Montessori principles, including literacy education, math activities, and behavior management strategies Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized environment conducive to active learning and child development Work one-on-one or with small groups of children to foster individual growth Support daily childcare routines including toddler care, diapering, meal times, and outdoor activities Communicate effectively with children to encourage language development and social skills Collaborate with lead teachers and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to early childhood education and classroom success Requirements Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred Montessori experience or interest is a plus (training opportunities available) Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable, consistent, and emotionally grounded Desire to grow into a leadership role is highly valued Knowledge of Montessori methods and early childhood development principles is essential Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members Ability to plan lessons focused on literacy education, math skills, and curriculum development tailored to individual needs Passion for working with children and dedication to fostering an inclusive learning environment Embark on a fulfilling journey where your enthusiasm fuels young learners' growth!
