Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays | Flexible start/end times About This Role We are a private family in Statesville, NC hiring a compassionate, hands-on caregiver to help two elderly women live comfortably and independently in their own home. This is a stable, relationship-centered role in a supportive family-managed household — you will make a genuine difference in the daily lives of people who truly appreciate your care. Our home is located 2 miles from Mitchell Community College. You will work closely with our family (daughter/granddaughter and son/husband), who are actively involved in daily care. Current Open Shifts

Fridays:

approximately 12:00-2:00 PM start through 7:00-8:00 PM (flexible)

Saturdays:

approximately 7:00-8:00 AM through 7:00-8:00 PM (full day, or mornings and afternoons available separately)

Sundays:

approximately 7:00-8:00 AM through 12:00-2:00 PM Start and end times are somewhat flexible and can be finalized with the right candidate. Candidates need not be available for all three days. What You'll Do

• Provide personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance
• Provide light physical assistance to care recipients who are ambulatory and largely self-mobile, including gait belt-assisted stair navigation, steadying support during ambulation, and mild standing assists from seated positions (e.g., rising from a chair). Care recipients are not bedbound and do not require transfers, repositioning, or dependent lifting.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals following specific dietary guidelines and meal plans
• Perform daily housekeeping: kitchen cleaning, bathroom cleaning, dishes, and laundry
• Supervise and assist with daily exercises and recreational activities
• Accompany residents to appointments and errands as needed (valid driver's license required for driving duties) What We're Looking For You do not need to be a certified CNA or Home Health Aide to apply — we provide training.

Character and reliability matter most.

Required:

• Ability to communicate clearly and at adequate volume (both residents have hearing difficulties)
• Ability to exert up to 35 lbs of force using proper body mechanics for light mobility assists
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Professional references required
• Must pass background and employment eligibility check Preferred but not required:
• Prior caregiving experience (home, assisted living, or memory care)
• Home Health Aide (HHA) or CNA certification (higher pay rate for CNAs)
• First aid and/or CPR certification
• Basic cooking skills About the Residents One resident has impaired mobility, vision, and hearing. The other has Alzheimer's dementia. Experience with dementia or memory care is a strong plus, but we welcome candidates willing to learn. Pay & Growth
