Part Time Shop Hand/General Maintenance Worker Pro-Mow Lawn Care & Landscaping is looking for a dependable part-time shop hand. This role is essential to keeping our crews moving efficiently and safely. An ideal candidate has knowledge with small engines, enjoys hands-on work, can effectively problem-solve, and enjoys providing support to the rest of the team. This is an hourly position, with pay rate based on experience. The schedule for this position can be somewhat flexible but will require evening and weekend work (to perform maintenance/repairs while crews are not out working). Hours will vary during peak seasons. This role is anticipated to work on average 20-25 hours a week, with more hours available during peak seasons. Our shop is equipped with a hydraulic lift for mowers and organized with the necessary tools. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair small engines and equipment, including: Zero-turn, walk-behind and push mowers String trimmers, backpack blowers, edgers Hedge trimmers, chainsaws and other handheld power equipment Aerators and spray machines Company trucks and trailers Maintenance work includes, but not limited to: belt changes, fluid changes, blade sharpening, tune-ups, pre-season inspections and post-season winterizations. This position is also responsible for: Maintaining shop and production area cleanliness, organization and tool storage (sweep floors, take out trash, wash equipment) Identify potential equipment issues before breakdowns occur Support field crews as needed with quick repairs, may occasionally require repairs out in the field Qualifications An understanding of small engines is preferred. An ideal candidate has prior experience in a similar role, has strong attention to detail, organized, and dependable. Those with self-motivation will succeed in this role.
