Job Description
The Mount Sinai Department of Neurology is seeking enthusiastic applicants for an exciting inpatient neurology opportunities. These part-time/per diem and full-time positions involve inpatient general neurology work work mainly at Mount Sinai Queens. You will provide high quality care for patients with a broad range of complex neurological diseases and neurological manifestations of systemic illness. Acute stroke and neurovascular diseases are not included in this role, as these are separately managed by our world-class Stroke Team. You will frequently collaborate with our superb neurosurgical and neurological subspecialists (particularly in epilepsy and stroke). Opportunities include weekday and/or weekend coverage. Over time, coverage needs may change or be flexible. Our system-wide Mount Sinai neurohospitalist team is a rapidly growing and dynamic space, where creativity, collaboration, and motivation are highly valued. We are constantly working to deliver the highest quality of care, establishing practice standards, metrics, and protocols for inpatient neurology care quality across the system, collaborating with Neuro Critical Care, Stroke, Epilepsy and other services, as appropriate, and harnessing information technology to elevate the quality and safety of care. Mount Sinai's Department of Neurology is strongly committed to caring for the whole patient and places special emphasis on providing patient-centered care, embracing the mission of the Icahn School of Medicine by pursuing an integrative approach to patient care, research, and education. Candidates must have excellent clinical skills and an interest in inpatient general neurology consultation.
