Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Parts Counter Associate, where you'll be the vital link between our customers and the automotive parts they need to keep their vehicles running smoothly. This energetic role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory efficiently, and leveraging your automotive knowledge to assist both retail and dealership clients. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will drive sales, ensure accurate order fulfillment, and contribute to a seamless automotive parts experience for every customer. Duties Greet customers warmly and determine their automotive parts needs through active listening and effective communication Assist customers in locating parts using inventory management systems, including CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and POS (Point of Sale) software Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and ensuring accurate records of parts availability Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with professionalism and attention to detail Collaborate with the service team to support vehicle maintenance and repair operations by providing timely parts support Negotiate with suppliers or vendors when sourcing hard-to-find parts or resolving inventory discrepancies Maintain a clean, organized work environment to facilitate efficient order fulfillment and customer satisfaction Skills Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair, and service procedures to better assist customers Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual abilities are a plus) to serve diverse clientele effectively Proven experience with inventory management systems such as CMMS or retail POS platforms Demonstrated sales management skills with the ability to upsell products and handle retail math confidently Exceptional organizational skills for stocking, order fulfillment, and maintaining accurate records Effective negotiation skills for vendor interactions and resolving customer concerns Familiarity with automotive dealership operations, retail sales processes, and marketing strategies Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting purposes Strong math skills for inventory control, retail math calculations, and cash handling accuracy Excellent phone etiquette for engaging with customers over the phone or via digital communication channels Knowledge of automotive service standards, maintenance procedures, and dealership experience is highly desirable Join us as a Parts Counter Associate if you're passionate about automotive technology, thrive in fast-paced environments, and enjoy helping customers get back on the road quickly!
Pay:
$12.00 - $16.00 per hour
