Job Description
Patient Intake Representative — Sleep Lab — Amherst Sleep Center Shift/Schedule Full Time - Scheduled for 40 Weekly Hours Shift Times - 7:30a-4p or 8a-4:30p Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays Job Summary Processes of scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification. A thorough understanding of the health care revenue cycle, with excellent interpersonal skills, are necessary to achieve the positions over all objectives. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a level normally acquired through completion of high school education. Demonstrates typing speed at 35-wpm necessary, accuracy is essential. Familiarity with personal computers and prior registration experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skill, both verbal and written. Completion of medical terminology course is preferred. Working Conditions Normal office or patient care environment with little exposure to noise, dusts, temperature and the like.
