Job Description

Commission & Payroll Analyst - IP Video Surveillance Be the key in ensuring the team has their pay processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations! The Payroll and Commissions Analyst is a key member of the Americas Accounting team. The role works closely with the People and Culture (P&C) team and sales team to deliver pay and commission related deliverables and services. The Payroll and Commissions Analyst will work out of our US office in beautiful Lake Oswego, OR. The position will report to our Accounting Manager. The Team The Americas Accounting team consists of highly passionate and experienced team members covering the US, Canada, and LATAM. While everyone is accountable for their areas, we collaborate extensively and enjoy sharing and helping each other succeed. Key Roles & Responsibilities Payroll Responsibilities (~30% of the role):
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Commissions Responsibilities (~50% of the role):
  • Responsible for day-to-day commission administration in Incent or similar sales commission system, resulting in accurate and timely commission payments
  • Partners with global commissions team to validate commission types, exceptions, and one-off modifications.
  • Respond to compensation-related inquiries from the Sales Team in an effective and timely manner
  • Perform configuration, testing, and other support activities related to plan, quota, and policy changes
  • Prepare key monthly commission reconciliation reports including reporting of monthly commission and sales attainment metrics Compliance Responsibilities (~20% of the role):
  • Efficient and timely delivery of payroll and tax reporting in compliance with company policies and procedures; maintain compliance with applicable local, state, federal and provincial employment laws within the U.S. and Canada
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Processes off-cycle payments as necessary
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Registering with state agencies as employees are on-boarded in new states.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with big-picture strategic understanding
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Experience & Attributes:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • At least three to five years of related experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Responsible for day-to-day commission administration in Incent or similar sales commission system, resulting in accurate and timely commission payments
  • Proactively identify, develop, and implement process improvements, documenting desktop procedures and training documentation to achieve efficiencies and scalability
  • Experience processing payroll in Canada, US, Brazil and Mexico
Note:
Mexico and Brazil payroll will be calculated by third-party provider in-country. Seeking to maintain strong relationships with outside expert firms.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with payroll software.
  • Experience with Oracle and Paycom preferred.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $105k to $125k range. Pay is based on the level, location, complexity, responsibility, and job duties of the specific position and is just one component of Milestone's total compensation package.
