PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN)

Qualifications & Skills:

Active RN license, in good standing Demonstrated stepdown/telemetry nursing experience Proficient in ventilator management and weaning patients off long-term vents Strong critical thinking and assessment abilities Current ACLS and BLS certifications Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Key Schedule & Role Details:

Contract position in a stepdown unit Care for patients on ventilators, assist with ventilator weaning, and monitor for changes in condition Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams Administer medication, document assessments, and update care plans Educate patients and families regarding ongoing care and equipment Support transitions from acute care, focusing on patient safety and comfort This role allows you to utilize your advanced clinical skills and develop meaningful patient connections in a stepdown environment with medically complex cases.
