Peanuts Gang Preschool Teacher

Teaching positions available at both our St. Peters locations. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with the drive to succeeded in a classroom environment. Our St. Peters Location will be looking for infant teachers, two 2 year old teachers and 6 Preschool and school age teachers. The teacher is responsible for all aspects of the daily care and education for the children enrolled in their class. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: physical caregiving, developmental assessments, following an age-appropriate curricular plan, and facilitation of supportive relationships amongst director, co-workers, parents, and students. Responsibilities of this position will include but are not necessarily limited to the following: Ensure the safety of all children enrolled in the class in the classroom, on the playground, and all common areas; Maintain regular observations and evaluations of children's development and progress as directed by the administration; Maintain a learning portfolio for each student; Complete weekly lesson plans, goals, and newsletters; Accept and maintain responsibility on a daily basis for the ordered arrangement, appearance, décor, and cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom; Plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate classroom practices that will include the areas of physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs of young children; Serve as a role model for the children in the areas of attitude, speech, and actions on a daily basis; Treat each child with dignity and respect for his/her cultural background; Encourage children's development in the areas of the building self-confidence, problem-solving, and taking responsibility for their actions; Interact with each child on a daily basis through the circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play, etc.

Desired Qualifications:

High School Diploma Desired but not required: First Aid Training, CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development Associate (CDA),

Class E Drivers License Positions Available:

From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift Monday to Friday No nights No weekends
