Job Description

Seeking a full time Peer Support Specialists to join our Child and Family team at our Randolph VT clinic. Peer Support Specialists provide the following:
  • Provides mentoring, encouragement and advocacy to adolescents and young adults who are dealing with a mental health or substance use issue in their home or family;
  • Provides support to clients to take an active role in the development and implementation of their own treatment goals;
  • Works in the office, community or at client residences, and may provide support face to face, via telehealth, or by telephone;
  • Serves as an integral part of our 24/7 Mobile Crisis Team to provide peer support to individuals in crisis; evening, overnight or weekend work is required;
  • Completes required clinical documentation in an electronic medical record system.
  • Flexibility, dependability, strong written and verbal communication, computer skills, and the ability to be a team player are essential.
Must be able to work independently, use sound judgment and have good boundaries. Personal life experience with recovery from mental health or substance use is required. Experience working with adults or youth with mental illness or addictions and knowledge of recovery process is preferable. Previous or current clients of mental health services are encouraged to apply. An educational level of a High School Diploma, a valid driver's license and reliable daily transportation is required.
