Job Title:
CNC Machinist Job Description We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our dynamic team as we experience significant growth. Our facility is responsible for the R D and mass production for the Aerospace, Military, and Defense industries, offering exciting and challenging work opportunities using state-of-the-art, precision CNC machines. Responsibilities Operate and maintain 5-Axis CNC machines, specifically vertical milling machines. Perform complex blueprint interpretations to ensure precise machining of components. Utilize machine controls such as Fanuc or Heidenhain for efficient operation. Program or edit G-Code to achieve desired machining outcomes. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards. Work with various materials including alloys, stainless steel, titanium, and plastics. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Essential Skills 3-4 years of experience performing setups/operation on 4-5 axis CNC machinery (Either Vertical Milling and/or Horizontal Milling). Ability to utilize Fanuc controls to perform setups and make edits to G and M code. Understand the process of GD&T (Geometric dimension & tolerance). Additional Skills & Qualifications 4 years experience performing setups and/or operating 5 axis CNC milling machines. Ability to machine titanium. Experience in machining for the Aerospace, Military, and Defense industries or related industries. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our work environment is clean and climate-controlled, featuring around 100 CNC machines across three facilities on our campus. We comply with ITAR standards and maintain an open-door policy, encouraging employees to work collaboratively and ask questions within each department. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
