Description Mystic Seaport Museum is seeking seasonal non-union actor/interpreters for the Museum's Lantern Lights Holiday theatrical programming in Mystic, CT. Lantern Lights - Actors will alternate between scripted plays/solo readings, and scripted interpretive/educational talks on various holiday-themed topics. Performers will be dressed in period costume circa 1876. Performances are Thursday - Sunday December 3rd through December 20th, with additional performances on 12/21, 12/22, and 12/23. There are options for performing two out of four nights, or all four nights. Call times may be as early as 1:00PM. Work day is 2:30PM - 8:00PM. Rehearsals begin in October. Auditions are the week of September 21st . Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and in all weather conditions is required. For a full list of audition times, please see below. Memorized. ? 16-32 bars of music, a capella. 19th-century Christmas Carols preferred. ? You do not need to prepare a dance; a 19th-c. dance will be taught to you at the audition. Requirements ? Must be at least eighteen years of age ? Previous acting/public speaking experience ? Willing to work weekends and evenings throughout October, November, and December. ?
