Position Summary Hip Hop Mindset is seeking a reliable, energetic, and versatile Support Staff member to assist with the day-to-day operations of our programs and team. Support Staff members are an essential part of the HHM team and may assist at school sites, our headquarters, studio, events, and other program-related activities. This position requires someone who is comfortable stepping into different responsibilities, supporting instructors and team leads, working directly with youth, and helping with behind-the-scenes preparation. The ideal candidate is someone who is dependable, adaptable, hands-on, and eager to contribute wherever support is needed. Key ResponsibilitiesProgram & School Site Support Provide support to instructors and program staff at school sites. Sub for instructors when there is a call-out or staffing need, when qualified and assigned to do so. Learn and become familiar with each program offered by Hip Hop Mindset. Assist with classroom activities, student engagement, transitions, and dismissal as needed. Help create a positive, welcoming, and encouraging environment for students. Engage with youth and encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, and positive participation. Follow all HHM policies, procedures, and school-site expectations. Communicate any student, staff, or program concerns to the appropriate Team Lead or supervisor. HQ Support Assist with projects and tasks at HHM Headquarters and the studio. Help organize, prepare, and maintain program materials and supplies. Assist with prop building, costume preparation, organizing equipment, and other creative projects. Help prepare materials for showcases, performances, events, camps, and other HHM programs. Assist with setting up and breaking down spaces, equipment, and materials. Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas. Complete assigned administrative or organizational tasks during designated downtime. Team Support Work closely with Team Leads, instructors, coordinators, and management. Assist team members with tasks that help programs run smoothly and efficiently. Be willing to step in and help when unexpected needs arise. Maintain clear and professional communication with the HHM team. Take initiative rather than waiting to be asked when support is needed. Represent Hip Hop Mindset in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner. What We're Looking For The ideal Support Staff member is: Reliable and punctual. Energetic, positive, and enthusiastic when working with youth. Comfortable working with children and students in grades K-8. Adaptable and willing to take on a variety of responsibilities. A team player who is willing to help wherever needed. Creative and hands-on. Organized and able to follow through with assigned tasks. Comfortable working independently when given direction. Able to communicate professionally with coworkers and supervisors. Passionate about working with youth, education, arts, or creative programs. Knowledge or appreciation of Hip Hop culture and the arts is a plus. Qualifications Previous experience working with youth, education, recreation, arts, or a support role is preferred. Previous dance, performing arts, coaching, or enrichment program experience is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow directions while also demonstrating initiative. Must be dependable and responsible.
