This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster creativity, spiritual growth, and community engagement through dynamic dance and arts instruction. As a Praise Dance Assistant, you will support choreographing routines, managing classroom activities, and nurturing students' artistic talents in a lively, supportive environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help cultivate a joyful atmosphere that celebrates movement, music, and faith. Responsibilities Assist in developing engaging praise dance curricula that incorporate choreography, musical instruments, and visual arts to inspire students. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment conducive to learning and creative expression. Collaborate with lead instructors to plan and execute dance lessons tailored for children and youth of various skill levels. Help teach dance techniques such as ballet, modern dance, or other styles relevant to praise dance performances. Facilitate activities that integrate theater experience, musical performance, and creative arts to enhance student participation. Manage behavior effectively by implementing childhood development strategies and behavior management techniques. Support special education needs by adapting lessons for children requiring additional assistance or accommodations. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational or youth program settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in teaching visual arts, performing arts, or dance instruction—especially praise dance—is essential. Knowledge of choreography, dance instruction methods, and working with musical instruments or musical performance is required. Background in theater arts, teaching instrumental performance, or related creative arts fields will be advantageous. Experience in classroom management, lesson planning, early childhood education, or preschool settings is desirable. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and childhood development principles is important for fostering a nurturing environment.
