Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate, creative, and experienced Hip-Hop Dance Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in various hip-hop dance styles, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages and skill levels. The teacher will be responsible for planning and leading dynamic, engaging classes that promote physical fitness, dance technique, and artistic expression.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Instruction:
Lead hip-hop dance classes for individuals and groups, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Create lesson plans that are engaging, challenging, and appropriate for students' skill levels. Introduce students to a variety of hip-hop dance styles (e.g., breaking, locking, popping, street style, commercial hip-hop). Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their technique and performance. Prepare students for showcases, competitions, or performances if applicable.
Student Engagement & Motivation:
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel confident and motivated. Encourage creativity and self-expression through dance. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Administrative & Organizational Tasks:
Track student progress and attendance. Collaborate with studio management to ensure smooth scheduling and class organization. Assist with marketing and promoting dance classes when necessary.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching hip-hop dance. Previous performance experience in hip-hop dance is a plus. Experience teaching students of various age groups (children, teens, adults) preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of hip-hop dance history, styles, and culture. Ability to create innovative and engaging choreography. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with diverse groups of students and adapt to varying skill levels.
Education/Certifications:
Formal dance education or relevant certifications in dance instruction (e.g., Certified Dance Instructor, CPR/First Aid certified) preferred but not required. Join our team to share your love of dance while making a positive impact on the lives of our students!

$35.00 - $65.00 per hour
