Job Description

Additional Job Information Required Qualifications:
Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent Knowledge of complex marching rhythms Ability to demonstrate and perform marching show music Willingness to devote time before and after school hours Experience participating in a percussion program
Desired Qualifications:
Prior successful experience coaching percussion ensembles Preferred Drum Corps International (DCI) experience
Performance Responsibilities:
Attend and participate in all practices, games, and competitions Supervise all percussion activities and rehearsals Act as advocate for percussion program in school and community Aid in the presentation of marching programs at home and away sites, if applicable Emphasize academic excellence with percussion and/or band class Implement program policies and procedures Ability to communicate for facility usage Perform other duties as assigned by Site Administrator and/or designee Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force regularly or as needed to move objects. Salary Paid in accordance with the Differentiated Pay for Additional Duty/Supplemental Salary Schedule in the Hernando County Teachers' Association (HCTA) Contract. Duty Days/Hours Varies/Varies
