Full Job Description Description:
Music Coordinator (Part-Time) We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Music Coordinator to lead and coordinate the music ministry for our parish services. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic with a passion for enhancing worship through music, providing spiritual leadership, and fostering a welcoming environment for parishioners. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the spiritual life of our community through musical excellence and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the parish music ministry for weekly Masses and special liturgical celebrations Provide piano accompaniment and sing at all weekly Masses, including Saturday at 4 pm, Sunday at 8 am, 10 am, Spanish Mass at noon, and 6 pm Serve as the pianist for Holy Days of Obligation Masses as required Rehearse with choir members once a week to prepare for liturgical services Attend monthly staff meetings to collaborate with parish staff and clergy Support the development of music programs that enhance the worship experience Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for choir members and parishioners
Skills and Qualifications:
Practicing Catholic with a strong understanding of Catholic liturgy and music Proven experience in church music ministry, including piano performance and vocal skills Ability to lead and motivate choir members and volunteers Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and Holy Days Knowledge of liturgical music repertoire and ability to select appropriate music for various services Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Our parish community values faith, collaboration, and musical excellence. Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred. At least five years experience. Must be able to sing in Spanish for our Spanish Mass. Must be able to work with other Musicians.
