Position Summary Piano Accompanist The Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance Temporary, Part-Time (approximately 444 hours per semester) Up to a 10-month assignment (August-May) with potential for annual renewal
Compensation :
$35 per hour (with an estimated 444 hours each semester)
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as piano accompanist in the areas of Class Voice for Musical Theatre and Musical Theatre Performance as assigned Serve as piano accompanist dance classes as assigned Provide piano accompaniment for mainstage musical rehearsals, as well as assigned conservatory showcases, auditions, BFA reviews, and special presentations Play in pit orchestras as assigned, with the possibility of conducting mainstage musical performances Required Qualifications 3 years' experience as a professional pianist/accompanist Advanced skills in piano sight reading with ability to play Broadway repertory Ability to play in pit orchestras Willingness to work irregular and flexible hours, including nights and weekends
