We are a small welcoming church seeking a part-time pianist or organist to provide music for our Sunday worship service. Our previous pianist was a valued part of our church family, and folllowing their passing we are looking for someone who enjoys using their musical gifts to support Christian worship and congregational singing.

Responsibilities include:

Provide piano/organ music for weekly Sunday worship service Play hymns, preludes, postludes, and other appropriate worship music Work with the pastor in selecting or coordinating music for worship Accompany congregational singing and special music as needed Be available for occasional special services, such as Christmas Eve, Holy Week, and other church celebrations Oppotunities to provide music for weddings and funerals may also be available We are looking for someone who: Is proficient on piano and/or organ Is comfortable accompanying traditionaol Christian hymns and congregational singing Is dependable and able to prepare music independently Enjoys working with a small congregation and contributing to a warm, community oriented worship environment Has church music experience or experience accompanying singers or groups: however, we welcome inquiries from skilled musicians who may be new to church ministry This is a part-time position , primarily requiring Sunday morning availability, with additional services scheduled throughout the year. We understand that musicians with traditional church organ experience can be difficult to find, so pianists are very welcome to apply.
