  • Subject to change for 2027-2028 Season Travel pay and lodging provided. Annual service requirements will be in alignment with forthcoming changes to musician policies for the '27
  • 28 season and will be communicated prior to signing a contract for that season.

AUDITION PROCESS
The Abilene Philharmonic will notify you once your materials have been received. Incomplete submission of materials may result in a cancellation of your reservation. The order of auditions will be randomly determined. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your audition time to check in back stage of the Abilene Convention Center (1100 N 6th St, Abilene, TX 79601). Backstage door is located on the Northeast corner of the building by the loading dock. Those who do not check in may forfeit their time and deposit. You will be given a private practice space 5-10 minutes prior to your audition. Audition times will be sent to each candidate the week of the audition. Abilene Philharmonic auditions consist of two rounds. The first round is screened, and the committee will be unable to view the candidate. Candidates are asked to refrain from speaking during the first round. Candidates who advance to the second round will be visible by the committee, and the committee will be able to review the candidates' resume.
