Staff Pool Pay Range:

$25.00 - $41.00 / hour Position Overview The Accompanist (Part-time) provides professional piano accompaniment for voice classes, student juries, recitals, rehearsals, and performances across Houston Community College music programs. This role supports student vocalists and instrumentalists in their academic progression and musical development.

Key Duties & Responsibilities Classroom & Ensemble Support:

Accompany voice classes and other related music performance disciplines.

Student Rehearsals & Solos:

Rehearse and accompany students for solo performances in voice classes, departmental recitals, and public showcases.

Juries & Evaluations:

Participate in and accompany vocal and instrumental student jury evaluations.

Performances:

Provide professional piano accompaniment for scheduled campus concerts and recitals.

Qualifications & Requirements Education:

High school graduation supplemented by private or college-level training in piano.

Bachelors degree required (Masters degree preferred).

Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience as an accompanist required.

Special Requirements:

High proficiency in piano accompaniment across diverse vocal and instrumental repertoire.
