Position Summary The Session Manager is responsible for leading the daily operation of assigned skating sessions while ensuring every guest enjoys a safe, organized, and entertaining experience. This position oversees employees during each shift, manages birthday parties, resolves guest concerns, and ensures sessions run smoothly from start to finish. The ideal candidate is outgoing, confident speaking to large groups, enjoys entertaining families, and can lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Supervise and lead employees during assigned skating sessions Ensure all skating sessions operate safely, efficiently, and on schedule Oversee all birthday parties from check-in through celebration, ensuring hosts deliver an exceptional guest experience Coordinate with party hosts and staff to ensure parties stay on schedule and exceed guest expectations Organize and lead large group skating games and activities, including Limbo, Red Light/Green Light, races, and other interactive games Monitor guest safety and enforce skating rink policies and procedures Handle customer questions, concerns, and conflict resolution professionally Assist with opening and closing procedures Manage cash handling, register balancing, and basic operational reporting Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the facility Support management with special events, private parties, fundraisers, and school functions Qualifications Previous supervisory or management experience preferred Experience in hospitality, entertainment, recreation, or customer service is highly desirable Comfortable speaking over a microphone and engaging large groups of guests Friendly, energetic personality with excellent public speaking and communication skills Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, and professional Available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and school breaks Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Schedule Afternoon and evening shifts Weekend availability required Interviews are held weekly at 4:30pm, on-site, at 515 E 7th St. Applications can be picked up at the front window.
