Immediately Job Description Stage Manager (District Funds/4 Points/$1600) • Trains and manages the stage crew (high school helpers) o Assign roles for scene changes, moving scenery, and setting pieces for rehearsals and performances. o Assign a prop manager to assist with prop tracking and placement. o Assign an assistant stage manager. • Facilitates communication between creative, technical, and acting teams. o Manages set pieces being made for safety /sizing/ placement. o Spike the set for rehearsals and performances (taping floor plan/ blocked scenes/ prop placement) o Manages the movement backstage. o Creates the Scene Synopsis to be posted backstage. o Troubleshoots any situations that arise backstage. o Keeps notes of all blocking and technical cues in order to assist with running rehearsals when director/ assistant director is not available o Coordinates and communicates with parent volunteers who volunteer backstage (costume quick changes, cast/ ensemble chaperones, hair and makeup assistance, scene change set movement)
