This role involves assisting clients in their daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being in a comfortable home environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with disabilities and possess strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients and their families. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Monitor patient health by observing and reporting any changes in condition or behavior. Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Ensure a safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties and maintaining cleanliness. Assist clients with mobility and transportation as needed, including heavy lifting when required. Administer first aid and CPR as necessary in emergency situations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Qualifications Previous experience in a group home setting or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. Strong ability to assist individuals with varying levels of physical and mental abilities. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for this role. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by client needs.
