Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. Whether assisting with personal hygiene, meal preparation, or medication management, your dedication will help create a safe and nurturing environment for those in need. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations, care provided, and progress notes Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Perform light cleaning duties to uphold a hygienic living environment in accordance with health standards Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or developmental disabilities Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, home health care, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Certification or training in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like HIPAA compliance are advantageous Experience working with individuals with disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs is desirable Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with resident transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and dignified care Join us in delivering exceptional support that enhances quality of life for those we serve.
