In this vital role, you will provide hands-on assistance, monitor health and safety, and foster a caring environment that promotes independence and dignity. Whether working in assisted living communities, home care settings, or group homes, your positive attitude and proactive approach will help enhance the quality of life for those you serve. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe for any changes or signs of distress Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and safety Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs and preferences Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of care areas Document care activities accurately in care plans and report any concerns regarding patient condition or safety to supervisors Requirements Prior experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health care preferred; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer's is highly valued Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize changes in health status or behavior Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends or overnight shifts as needed for patient care continuity Demonstrated understanding of infection control practices and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Join us in providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live their best lives!
