Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract Provide expert inpatient pharmacy services under the guidance of the Pharmaceutical Services Director, ensuring compliance with all State and Federal regulations at a respected medical center. This role requires recent inpatient pharmacy experience within the last three years, emphasizing high standards in drug procurement, distribution, storage, and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, ensuring efficient and compliant operations. Serve as Pharmacist in Charge, maintaining the Pharmacy Services Policy and Procedure Manual in alignment with legal and accreditation standards. Review and verify inpatient medication orders and patients' home medications to guarantee safe and effective treatment. Manage pharmacy and Omnicell inventory, including specialty boxes and crash carts. Maintain secure handling and disposal of controlled substances and hazardous waste. Provide drug information and support to healthcare professionals within the facility. Assist in pharmacy licensure compliance and help realize cost savings through proper purchasing and formulary management. Complete administrative duties related to record keeping, compliance, and license maintenance punctually. Offer weekend retail pharmacy coverage for emergency medication dispensing and serve as on-call pharmacist during scheduled shifts.Qualifications or Desired Experience:
Inpatient pharmacy experience within the last 3 years is mandatory. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to foster positive professional relationships with staff, patients, and visitors. Knowledge of State and Federal pharmacy regulations and standards.
