Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacy Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting patient care and medication management within a fast-paced, hospital environment. Duties Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately, including IV infusions and aseptic preparations. Manage medication intake and inventory control to ensure timely availability of pharmaceuticals. Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions and supporting patient care initiatives. Support critical care and acute care units by delivering medications swiftly and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols. Maintain thorough documentation of medication administration, intake logs, and pharmacy records with precision. Follow strict aseptic techniques during sterile compounding to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety. Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate smooth medication distribution and address any discrepancies or issues promptly. Skills Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication management. Experience working in LTC pharmacy, hospital settings, or critical care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of IV infusion preparation, aseptic techniques, and medication administration protocols. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced acute care settings while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills for managing intake processes, inventory, and documentation accurately. Familiarity with hospital workflows, medical terminology, and pharmacy software systems enhances your effectiveness in this role.
