Job Description

The Hospital is currently seeking a full time Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated healthcare team. The Pharmacy Technician will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and will work collaboratively with nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team. This position is responsible for the procurement, storage, and distribution of medications and supplies; detailed record keeping; and sterile products preparation (including chemotherapy) among other duties. The pharmacy technician is essential in achieving the goals of the pharmacy department. Previous pharmacy experience is wonderful but not required.

High School Diploma or equivalent

one year experience as a hospital pharmacy technician
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum:
o All candidates hired into this role must apply for registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the WI Dept of Safety and Professional Services, and provide proof of application to Human Resources prior to their start date. o Certified Pharmacy Technician - if not certified, must become certified in first 12 months of employment.

Able to multitask and remain flexible Is a critical thinker, creative, and can problem solve Is a self-starter and can work independently as well as part of a team Excellent customer service skills Strong attention to detail Hardworking and dedicated work ethics Time and task management, prioritizing, and organizational skill Effective communication (written and spoken) Excellent computer skills; Able to use and assist in the building and maintenance of all pharmacy systems, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, electronic health records, automated dispensing cabinets, and drug ordering/returns. Troubleshooting and problem solving skills including the ability to identify and resolve complex problems Ability to mathematically compute and convert drug concentrations and doses. Able to perform sterile IV preparation manipulations to make IV preparations. Physical requirements o Frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, manual/fine dexterity, grasping, and hearing-close distance. o Occasional bending, twisting, kneeling and squatting. o Occasional ability to lift/carry or push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Mon-Fri 7 AM - 7 PM; Weekends 7 AM - 3 PM •
